Abstract

This abstract discusses the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) strategy as an innovative approach in the learning process. The main objective of this literature review is to identify the effectiveness of CTL implementation in enhancing students’ competencies and skills. The method used is a literature study by examining various journals and scientific articles related to CTL implementation across different educational levels. The findings reveal that CTL can improve learning motivation, increase active student engagement, and strengthen students’ contextual understanding of learning materials. In addition, this strategy has been shown to enhance problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills. The effectiveness of CTL implementation is influenced by teacher readiness, learning facilities, and a supportive learning environment. Therefore, CTL can serve as an effective solution to improve the quality of education in response to current educational challenges. The study concludes that the implementation of CTL requires continuous policy support and teacher training to achieve optimal outcomes.
